Now or Never: A Conversation with CBC Radio

Finding My Purpose: A Conversation with CBC Radio

A few weeks ago, I received an unexpected message—an invitation from CBC Radio to be part of their show Now or Never. The episode focused on Canadians in the midst of change, exploring the pivotal moments that push us in new directions. At first, I was hesitant. Talking about my journey in such a public way felt daunting. But I ultimately said yes, because if there’s anything I’ve learned over the past few years, it’s that embracing change—even when it feels uncertain—is how we grow.

During the interview, we talked about life, work, and the turning points that led me to start Humble Studio. As a photographer and industrial designer, I’ve always been drawn to storytelling—capturing not just images but emotions, moments, and the essence of a brand. Founding my agency was about creating a space where thoughtful design and meaningful narratives come together. It wasn’t just about business; it was about building something that reflected my values and vision for the creative industry.

We also discussed my decision to split my time between Canada and Cairo, a move that has been both challenging and rewarding. Cairo offers a vibrant energy, a rich history, and an emerging creative scene that constantly inspires me. Balancing life and work between two continents is not always easy, but it has given me a unique perspective—one that deeply influences the work we do at Humble Studio.

This conversation with Now or Never reminded me of why I took this leap in the first place. Growth is uncomfortable, change is intimidating, but both are necessary. Humble Studio was born out of that exact mindset—of embracing uncertainty and turning it into something meaningful. I’m excited to share this journey with all of you, and I hope this story encourages anyone who’s standing at the edge of a big decision to take that leap.

You can listen to the episode and my conversation at the 21-minute mark. And as always, thank you for being part of this adventure.
